Karen
Higgins is the founder of A & E Communications. As a PR
consultant, Karen provides her clients with high quality public
relations programs that produce significant return on investment.
She works with small and mid-sized companies, helping them to build
market awareness and credibility.
Previously
with TMP Worldwide (formerly Stackig Advertising & PR), Karen
was responsible for providing strategic counsel, writing and publicity
services and account management for a wide range of information
technology and biotechnology organizations. Throughout her 10 years
at TMP, she delivered significant results for her clients, including
companies such as from Roche Molecular Systems, Lotus Development
Corporation, Naviant, Viaken Systems, PDS, the British Standards
Institution, WAM Systems and Logicon (a Northrop Grumman company).
Karen has written on technologies such as business intelligence,
business process management, smart cards, bioinformatics, network
management, system security, e-marketing, customer relationship
management, performance management systems, imaging, groupware,
knowledge management, storage, supply chain management, human resource
information systems and has worked closely with numerous corporate
and government organizations to generate client application stories
and profiles.
Most recently, Karen held the position of Communications Chair
for the BIO IT Coalition in the Washington, D.C. area. She is an
active participant in the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
She was the secretary for the Philadelphia Chapter of PRSA in 1996,
the 1997 chair of the Technology Committee and was the 1998 chair
of the Technology Education committee.
A graduate of Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa., she holds
a bachelor's of science degree in business/marketing.
